LESLIE SACHS
Benjamin Moore
Stormy Monday 2112-50
COLOR HAPPY
Vibrant color starts at the
front door of Leslie Sachs’
and Rick Negron’s 1930s
home,
far left.
PRETTY IN PINK
The fireplace,
left,
is
painted a shade darker
than the pink ceiling
and trim as a warm
(and subtle) alternative
to white.
FRESH START
Leslie’s refurbished
antiques,
below left,
stand
out against the brown.
“Stained furniture
wouldn’t have worked,”
she says. “I needed the
colors for contrast.”
CHEF’S SURPRISE
The kitchen,
below right,
is the couple’s happy
place. “It’s unexpected,
and the colors are
yummy,” Leslie says.
The lacquered cabinets’
avocado hue originated
from the dining room’s
paisley draperies, visible
through the cutout. Gray
walls and honed black
granite countertops are
sleek backdrops.
DINING LIGHT
Playing off the rich brown
walls of the living room,
Leslie chose a milkier
version for the woodwork
in the dining room,
opposite.
She further
lifted the mood with
coral-pink walls.
